The Municipality of Larissa participates in the Europe for Citizens program - "HE-ART: Heart of Europe - a network of cities promoting heart culture, solidarity and intergration". The aim of the program is to create a network of cultural points ("Heart Sisters") which through art, artistic play, dialogue and volunteering will promote solidarity, peace, acceptance, enhancing active citizenship to overcome xenophobia and stigmatization. The coordinating partner of the program is Drustvo za Naravno Ucenje Z Dozivljanje Umetnosti In Narave G (Slovenia) and the other partners: Drustvo za podporo civilne druzbe (Slovenia), Integration for Alla (Sweden) , Bashkia Lezhe (Albania), Shoqata Shqiptare and Ambjentalisteve Industriale (Albania), Municipality of Larissa (Greece), Municipality of Medina del Campo (Spain), Sandanski (Bulgaria), Sdruzhenie Yuni Partners (Bulgaria), Mata-malam Comitato 10 Febbraio (Italy), Municipality of Rieti (Italy), Hjelmsjövik HVB Hem (Sweden).
The 3rd International Workshop of Partners on "Cultural Heritage and Participatory Management" took place in Medina del Campo, Spain (14-16 August). During the meeting, discussions were held, experiential workshops, meetings with local actors, visits to cultural sites and participation in cultural events.
The theme of this meeting was the Renaissance Week Semana Renacentista, celebrated in the last 5 years in the city. The feast concerns the revival of the fire that burned the city due to the conflict between Imperiales and Comuneros.
Participants took part in the parade that took place at the opening of the events.
They visited the city's museum by making a major historical breakthrough on the creation of the first open-air markets and the establishment of the first banks and bankers.
Finally, they were informed about the area's wine production and production while participating in events presented to common visitors.
At the workshop on behalf of the Municipality of Larissa participated the employees of the Department of Engineering & Maintenance & Maintenance, Mr Pneumatikos Ilias, Ms Anastasia Sinapalou and Ms Tsolia Chrysanthi and the employee of the Revenue Department Ms. Christina Mitroula.
