Description:
The Playful Paradigm project is a Transfer Network, the members of which aim to adapt and transfer the URBACT Good Practice of the city of Udine, that uses “games” as a flexible and innovative way for healthy and sustainable place-making. Cities face challenges, such as urbanization, population ageing, climate change adaptation, that need an innovative and co-created tool to provide well-being and resilience for promoting sustainability. Udine is the Italian lead city of the Playful Cities Movement and promotes the use of “games” as innovative tools for citizens’ involvement at different ages, for health and sustainability promotion, social inclusion as well as tackling addictive behaviors. During the project, the member cities of the network are invited to analyze and assess the transferability potential, discuss the local conditions (within their Urbact Local Groups) and adapt the Good Practice for their city.
